English term or phrase:sometimes you get discouraged
There is a poem that I am trying to translate from English to German and I would like to print it out for German family members. It will have handprints from their children on it.
Sometimes you get discouraged
Because I am so small
And always leave my fingerprints on furniture and walls.
But everyday I am growing
And will be all grown up some day.
And all those tiny handprints will surely fade away.
So here is a final handprint, just so you can recall
Exactly how my fingers looked when I was very small.
This is no real "job", I am only posting it here in case someone would like to help me out with the translation, if you have the time and energy!
