English to German translations [PRO] Art/Literary - Poetry & Literature
English term or phrase:to tickle the pink/tickling the pink
The expression comes from a literary text by British author. It describes the vibrant life in the Amazon jungle and the spiritual effect it has on the human mind.
I could not find out whether it is a common expression or an individual invention of the author, let alone determine its meaning. A google search pointed in the direction of sexual fantasies but I am not sure if this is correct.
pink toes are slang for white girls
pink taco is slang for the clitoris, which is then related to "tickle the pink taco" as a reference to masturbation.
This often gets shortened to "tickle the pink"
"to tickle the pink". Whereas the first one means that a person has a whale of a time (the origin refers to being tickled and laughing so hard that your face turns reddish), the second one in US slang indeed refers to masturbation and the female genitals. I don't know if this term is used in British as well - please contact the author, he might not be aware of this double meaning.
is the phrase I am familiar with from one of my older friends. She used it to mean "extremely pleased", "flattered" maybe. I am not at all sure if "tickle the pink" might be different --- I would need to read at least some paragraph's worth of text.
according to an ENGLISH slang dictionnary I found on the net, is to be very pleased, no sexual annotation.
Tickle ME pink means please me.
Tickle THE pink I have not found, and it could be an invention of the author, or a typo.
Give us a bit more context, and we shall see.
