English to German translations [Non-PRO] Printing & Publishing | | English term or phrase: Sarah & Alfred | | How would it look to a native German speaker to see given names in English joined with an ampersand (&) in a heading or title (not in running text). My understanding is that '&' normally occurs in German only in company names, so I'm wondering if it would look odd in another context, such as a gift that is engraved with the name of a couple (e.g. "Sarah & Alfred"). Would it be preferable to write "Sarah and Alfred" instead? Again, this is NOT for running text. |
