Es geht um einen Text zu Migration. Insbesondere um in der Vergangheit publizierte Konzepte und deren Bedeutung für die Gegenwart:

"These topics have relevance and resonance for Europe today, as we consider how to deal with immigrants."

"At a time where we struggle to decide how to deal with immigrants, this legacy may have a particular resonance."

"Resonanz" wäre die einfachste Möglichkeit -- aber speziell im ersten Beispielsatz bin ich mir nicht sicher, ob das hier tatsächlich auch gemeint ist.

oder "kommen einem bekannt vor" - in dem Sinne würde ich am ehesten die erste Stelle verstehen; für die zweite ist sicher eine andere Übersetzung geeigneter, vielleicht Albans "Nachhall"

hallo michaela,

ich würde die beiden begriffe ("relevance" und "resonance") zusammenfassen und mit "besonderer bedeutung" arbeiten. das passt in beiden fällen. "besondere bedeutung" haben - meinem verständnis nach - nur ideen/themen/dinge etc., die bei einer person/personengruppe/in einem land etc. auch "anklang" finden (weil entsprechende strukturen vorhanden sind).
