The economic downturn has adversely affected the demand for office space so far as occupiers have been acting cautiously in light of the uncertain economic outlook. ***Gross take-up*** has fallen significantly in most German cities in the first half of 2009 compared with the same period last year: -56% in Dűsseldorf, -35% in Műnich, -31% in Hamburg, -16% in Frankfurt and -13% in Berlin.
