English term or phrase: flesh and bone

Dies ist aus einer Anleitung zu einer Meditationsübung:

I open my heart, flesh , and bones to receive the energy of insight, love, and experience transmitted to me by all my ancestors.

"Fleisch und Knochen/Bein" klingt mehr nach Metzger als nach Meditation. Hat jemand eine Erleuchtung?

Dank Dir, Karin. Deine Anregung hat mich auf die richtige Spur gebracht. In diesem Zusammenhang muss es "körperlicher" sein als "Geist und Seele". Ich habe mich für "das Innerste meines Körpers" entschieden.

Explanation:
This is a pretty standard religious translation of "flesh and bone", so why not use it? Even in English, it makes the listener think twice - it makes it clear that the meditator has to open themselves DEEPLY. This effect is lost if you just say 'body'.

Joan Hass: ich find es klingt auf Deutsch nicht gut und der Körper besteht nun mal aus Fleisch und Knochen.

-> Ich habe "a standard translation" und nicht "the" geschrieben, Du aber wohl "das Wortpaar". Da ich Bezüge zu Bibelübersetzungen mit "Fleisch und Bein" gelesen habe, bin ich mir meines "a" sicher.

Claudia Krysztofiak: "bis ins Mark" wäre hier eine wirklich schöne Assoziation; @Joan: Du weißt dass Bein eine andere Bezeichnung für Knochen ist?; @Uwe: Google mal nach Fleisch und Bein - Du wirst dich sehr wundern! Aber wenn hier Buddhisten schon eine Seele haben ... :-))

mit einem GRRR aus tiefster buddhistischer Seele hier eine Alternative:
Eigentlich heißt das im Esoterik-Babbel ja eher immer "die Energietore des Körpers (und der Seele) öffnen"

vielleicht kannst du damit was im Gesamtkontext basteln

Claudia Krysztofiak: Das kommt dann wohl ganz auf den weiteren Kontext an. Die Verdienstübertragung und Anrufung der Ahnen kann durchaus eine ebenso authentische und alte Tradition sein, wie das "Vater unser". Übrigens: Seit wann haben Buddhisten eine Seele? :-)

-> ich wusste schon immer, dass ich noch nicht reif bin für den Osten (praktisch, erkenntnistheoretisch finde ich den Buddhismus spannend). Wem galt das disagree? Meiner Lösung (es sollen sich eher Geldbeutel öffnen, gel) oder meiner Schamanenbemerkung?
