English term or phrase:Ministry
Normalerweise "geistliches Amt" oder "Geistlichkeit", aber in diesem Kontext ist mir die Bedeutung nicht klar. Es geht um ein Fest - mehr Kontext habe ich leider nicht:
"The women's fellowship represented the church at the Resurrection Power Ministry Women's day celebration".
"Die Frauengruppe vertrat die Kirche/Kirchengemeinde bei den Feierlichkeiten zum Frauentag (...)" ratlos
Explanation: Mit Ministry wird ein christliches Werk bezeichnet, das hier im Eigennamen Resurrection Power Ministry heißt. Dieses Werk veranstaltet eine Feier zum Frauentag, evtl. auch Weltgebetstag der Frauen, je nach Kontext.
In diesem Kontext ist Ministry m. E. nicht zu übersetzen, höchstens in Klammern, da es sich um einen Eigennamen handelt. Allgemein finde ich es ein schwieriges Wort... es gibt mannigfaltige Möglichkeiten, das wiederzugeben...
the word "Missionsgesellschaft". Is it really a mission? We make a distinction between mission and ministry. Perhaps something like "Kirchenamt?" Not sure.
That's it - and of course one can talk about "Christ's ministry" (translated in one dictionary as "das Wirken Christi"). As for what "resurrection power ministry" is, my guess is that the organisation claims that it does what it does (i.e. carries out its ministry) by invoking the power of Christ's resurrection ... "through the power of the resurrection we do x and y"
In my church, there is a "woman's ministry", a "baptism ministry", a "communion ministry" etc. Even Sunday school could be considered a ministry. It is not restricted to the pastor. Anything that somebody in the church does for the church body is called a ministry. Churches give church members the opportunity to serve in a ministry.
However, I don't have a clue what a resurrection power ministry is supposed to be.
Explanation: Schon richtig, dass das normalerweise das "Amt" eines Pfarrers ist, allerdings wird mit diesem Begriff manchmal auch das "Pfarramt" als kirchliche Gemeinschaft bezeichnet.
Explanation: Gottesdienst oder Amt im Sinne von Hochamt (Gottesdienst zur Feier eines besonderen Anlasses im Kirchenjahr)

wäre dann also das oder der *Amt/Hochamt/Gottesdienst zur Auferstehungssfeier am Frauentag*
Power würde ich im Sinne von Gewalt/Macht lesen, also von Überhöhung (Lob, und Ehre, und Preis und Gewalt, sei unserm Gott..., heißt es bei Bach).
Gemeint ist sicher nicht der Weltfrauentag, sondern offenbar ein bestimmter Feiertag einer bestimmten protestantischen Kirche, aber das ist nicht meine Konfession...
