English to German translations [PRO]
Bus/Financial - Retail / books
English term or phrase: second-hand counter
What eventually will happen to "The Downing Street Years" and "The View from No. 11"? They will probably find their way fairly speedily to second-hand counters.

Sind hier Buch Antiquariate gemeint oder einfach second hand- Läden?

German translation:Flohmarkt
Explanation:
Flea market or anyplace in Germany where second-hand books are sold cheaply would cover this. Counter in my opinion is in the sense of Tresen/Theke.

Hi Susanne, I don't understand "irritated" but in answer to your question, I think it's fine in this case to ignore "tresen/theke" because the idea is just like Armorel said basically that the books will no longer be valued.

Asker: Aber der "counter" muss doch in diesem Zusammenhang auch berücksichtigt werden oder soll man dieses Element einfach ignorieren? Auf Flohmärkte gibt es keine Thresen
