Stehen lassen. Interne Bezeichnung. Da haben wir die "Abteilung MC" oder "MC-Abteilung" bzw. "Mitarbeiten(innen) der Abteilung MC" oder "...der MC-Abteilung". Warum Raten, es bedeuten könnte? In meinem Buch "Anglo-amerikanische und deutsche Abkürzungen" in 3 Bändern sind 95 Bedeutungen von MC angegeben, wovon keine hier hineinpassen könnte.

Die guten Erklärungen "Material Control" bzw. "Manufacturing Control" ändern nichts daran, dass es keine deutsche Abkürzung gibt, die dem englischen "MC" entspricht. Ich würde MC schreiben, mit der Erklärung: "wahrscheinlich Materialkontrolle".
