I am sorry! I read \"thiolaCtic acid\"....
Anyway, I guess what I read first is what it meant to be.
As far as I know there is no \"latic acid\" and therefore no \"thiolactic acid\", either.
So, just a typo?

I think Stephan is right. I chose the less scientific name, since the original also uses the less scientific expression.
