English term or phrase: modulation by n-3of calcium
A text about osteoporosis and the positive effect of EFAs and their derivates.

The mechanism by which they [the EFAs] help is hyothesized to involve modulation by n-3[EFAs]of calcium and sodium/potassium ATPase.
My chemical expertise is limited- I would appreciate help from a pro!

German translation:Modulation von Kalzium und...durch Omega-3 Fettsäuren
Explanation:
I agree with Maya that "Modulation" is the right term to use. Those essential fatty acids seem to be of the omega-3 type. But I'm not very sure about the whole thingie, either :)
