Ob das groß geschriebene "Owners" bei "servants of the Owners" der Reeder ist, der auch von den Eigentümern (owners klein geschrieben) der Waren entschädigt wird (einen Halbsatz weiter), erschließt sich aus dem zitierten Textteil nicht. Davon abgesehen, bezieht sich m.E. "servants" auf alle anderen Erfüllungsgehilfen, die nicht Käpt'n, Besatzung oder Lotsen sind.

An deinem Argument mit dem Plural ist was dran, das sehe ich auch so.

Asker: Vielen Dank für die Antworten, bin mir aber nicht sicher, ob Besatzungsmitglied es trifft, da es "the Master, Mariner, Pilot" heißt und ich annehme, dass mit "the servants of the Owners" (die Erfüllungsgehilfen des Reeders) wohl unter anderem die Besatzung gemeint ist.

Asker: Das groß geschriebene "Owners" ist in dem Text immer der Reeder. Gut, mit "servants" können durchaus alle anderen Erfüllungsgehilfen gemeint sein, aber ich würde trotzdem erwarten, dass der Plural (d.h. Mariners) verwendet wird, wenn die Besatzung gemeint ist. So im Singular erwarte ich, dass das eine Einzelperson mit einer speziellen Aufgabe ist. Außerdem wird im restlichen Text die Besatzung stets als "crew" bezeichnet.
