Die Frage ist nicht ganz richtig gestellt, denn da steht well-mounted azimuth propulsion system = im Schacht montierter Gondelantrieb oder Pod-Antrieb und retractable azimuth thruster = ausfahrbares Pod-Querstrahlruder oder Gondel-Querstrahlruder. Querstrahlruder deshalb, weil weder stern noch bow genannt sind.

Unter http://www.zf.com/corporate/de/products/product_range/boats/... findet sich die Übersetzung *für Brunneneinbau* = *well-mounted*, die vielleicht in der Fachsprache gebräuchlicher sein mag. *retractable* wird richtig mit *einziehbar* übersetzt, was aber m.E. impliziert, dass der normale Betriebszustand der *ausgefahrene* ist, was während normaler Marschfahrt sicher nicht stimmt.
