steig ein Explanation: It is a casual invitation to join somebody in a car/on a carriage,... . "Hop along" wuerde man benutzen, wenn man jemanden am Wegesrand stehen sieht und ihn ganz unverbindlich einlaedt doch mitzufahren. Im US-Fernsehen habe ich den Ausdruck schon oefters gehoert in einer Reiseserie, wo der Journalist beispielsweise in einer Kutsche sitzt und die Zuschauer zur Mitfahrt einlaedt: "Hop along while I am taking a ride through..." |
