English term or phrase: to start the order
Veranstaltung: South African F1 Powerboat Series, Rynvield Dam, Benoni, Gauteng, 12 November 2006, Round 3

Kommentar nach einem Neustart: "Boats are barreling down to turn no. 1, and Paul Shepard goes back where he was in race no. 1. / Boats have now started the order for the race was stopped in and already a good start by X."

Unklarheit: Seltsame Satzkonstruktion, am ehesten erscheint mir "the boats have started the order because the race was stopped (in)" plausibel; ich würde es dann mit "neu an den Start gehen", übersetzen, kommt mir aber komisch vor, denn die Boote waren doch schon auf dem Weg zur 1. Boje..."

Vielleicht wie in: started in the order of the positions the racers held when the race was stopped.

A race may be delayed, stopped or canceled at the discretion of the race director due to heavy rain. The race will be restarted in the order of the racers' last completed lap with timed spacing.
