angeschlagen Explanation: Embattled ist hier wohl nicht als kampfbereit oder mit Zinnen versehen zu verstehen sonder als nach American Heritage Dictionary :"Beset with attackers, criticism, or controversy." Angeschlagen bringt vielleicht nicht ganz das Gefühl eines Belagerungszustandes nach wiederholten Angriffen mit sich, das in embattled mit drin ist, aber es hat zumindest noch etwas martialisches und passt im Kontext. |

problemgeplagt/defektgeplagt Explanation: Embattled ist hier einfach ein Synonym für "struggling" - hat nix mit einer Belagerung zu tun! Also im Sinne von "hat (mit Problemen) zu kämpfen". Lars' "angeschlagen" ist vielleicht gar nicht so verkehrt - nur, das könnte auf nichtvorhandene motortechnische Störungen o.ä. hindeuten. (was vielleicht auch bei "defektgeplagt" zutrifft) "problemgeplagt" ist natürlich alles andere als elegant.
