Turbo-Verzögerung Explanation: Within a turbocharger´s operating range, lag (Verzögerung) is the delay between the instant a car's accelerator is depressed and the time the turbocharged engine develops a large fraction of the power available at that point in the engine´s power curve. Turboloch Explanation: One of the official terms is Turboloch, the lag between when you step on the gas and when the car actually accelerates. This is what Mercedes, Isuzu, and others call it, and it is the opposite of the Turboschub which is the thrust the car exhibits after the turbo-lag.
