Heckablageblech Explanation: My first instinct was "Ablage" or maybe "Heckablage" - you know, that shelf under the rear window of a sedan. However, Schmitt, Kfz-Technik, says Heckablageblech, and gives the following definition: "A deep-drawn steel panel fitted horizontally behind the rear set backrest of notchback sedans to support the plastic or foam mdling that makes up the rear shelf from the outside."
