|English term or phrase: common pulse optical system|
|I presume that this is a mistake in the original . The Japanese text contains "common pulse", which is a term I cannot connect with the context. This system is part of a laser encoding system and works in combination with a rotary encoder (Drehmelder). The reference material, I received from the client did not give me any hint and Internet search was negative as far as laser systems were involved.|
I presume it should read "common-path" optical system. Anybody experience with this field?
See link below. Actually, I found some references for "common pulsed" as well, see second link.
Can't tell if it makes sense, though.

|Thanks for the effort, Sharon. I am still not sure that this should not read "common-path", because this term appears in a different part of the translation. Unfortunately none of the laser freaks came up with some help.... |
