Convergence communication bezeichnet den integrierten Austausch von Datenströmen unterschiedlicher Art ("normale" Daten, Videodaten, Sprache (= Telefon, Stichwort Voice over IP oder kurz VoIP), Fax, usw. innerhalb eines Netzwerks.
Ein einschlägiger deutscher Begriff hat sich meiner Kenntnis nach noch nicht herausgebildet. Andererseits ist der englische Terminus einem breiten Publikum vermutlich noch nicht geläufig. Daher meine Empfehlung, den Begriff zu umschreiben. |
