From a patent regarding the test of signal power in data transmission systems: "In order to provide for the later acquisition of a plurality of signal test samples for averaging of results, the digital samples of the test signal period are *buffer-cycled* a selected number of times through the D/A converter to generate the desired repetitions of the basic analog signal period ..."
I understand the basic idea, but I don't know what an expert would say. Any ideas?
