I have to agree that "festes Codebuch" doesn't sound good. But it seems to be common in German.
On the other hand, why not just keep the "fixed" in German (fixiertes Codebuch)? That was my first impuls. |

sieh dir mal den Link an, vielleicht hilft das weiter.
Ein RPE – Excitation Generator verwendet 2 Codebücher. Eines mit festen,
vorgegebenen Einträgen, das „Fixed Codebook“, das andere kann während der
Verarbeitung mit Einträgen gefüllt werden. In der Regel befinden sich im „Fixed
Codebook“ nur stimmlose Signale. Im „Adaptive Codebook“ dagegen befinden sich
alle stimmhaften sowie vermischten Signale.

Hier wird es mit "festes Codebuch" übersetzt, gefällt mir persönlich aber nicht so gut.
