TXM(s) are used for monitoring TX antenna line condition. Antenna line is monitored by measuring its
forward and reverse power with directional coupler and detector circuit. Detector circuit is a trueRMS
type and has linear-in-dB
response. The unit generates two analog output signals: one for forward power (FWD) and another for reverse power (REV).

Explanation:
Ich habe diesen Ausdruck noch nie auf dt. gehört, aber vielleicht könnte man sagen: lineares Eingangs-/Ausgangsverhalten bei einem in dB gemessenen Eingangssignal. Klingt ein bisschen behindert, ich weiß, aber in manchen Datenblättern wird "response" auch mit "Antwort" übersetzt, dann liest man etwas wie "Frequenzantwort", statt "Frequenzgang" (nicht zu verwechseln mit der Sprungantwort eines Reglers z.B.).

Zur Erklärung (falls es in deinem Text nicht vorkommt), was linear-in-dB bedeutet: das Eingangssignal ist ein RF-Signal, das (logarithmisch) in dB angegeben ist (weil das Hörempfinden des Menschen logarithmisch ist, also zB. 40dB ist doppelt so laut wie 20dB, aber der (Spannungs-)Pegel ist wesentlich höher), und das Ausgangssignal ist ein lineares Abbild des logarithmischen Eingangssignals - also eigentlich ein logarithmischer Zusammenhang, aber durch die Einheit dB wird das Ausgangsverhalten linearisiert ...

Explanation:
Der Meßkreis erzeugt ein logarithmisches Signal (in dB gemessen), was der Charakteristik des Ohres in etwa entspricht (auch die Lautstärke wird in Phon, bzw. dB gemessen). Insofern stimme ich den Erklärungen von Markus zu, schlage aber eine andere Übersetzung vor.
