Hi everyone - the following sentence is from a fairly technical press release about digital imaging technology and describes a new kind of backside illumination technology:

It is xy's second-generation BSI technology, and is the first pixel built on a *300-mm copper process at 65 nm design rules* developed in cooperation with strategic manufacturing partner, TSMC.

I'm a bit out of depth which the whole expression in * *, but mainly by the *copper process*. Is there anybody technology-savvy out there who knows what these guys are talking about? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Explanation:
Soweit ich das Ganze verstanden habe, wird in der Prozessortechnik Aluminium langsam durch Kupfer ersetzt.
Wenn ich die Größen-Einheiten-Kombinationen 300 mm und 65 nm googel, dann kommen immer so nette Phrasen wie "65-nm-Strukturen auf 300-mm-Wafern mit Kupfermetallisierung" oder 300-mm-Wafer in 65-nm-Technik mit Kupfermetallisierung" vor. Damit könnte sogar ich als Halb-Laie etwas anfangen. BSI-/Backside(-)Illumination-Technik ist auch im deutschen Sprachgebrauch gängig (leider!).
