die Rute nach Haien auswerfen


Explanation:
...wäre mein Vorschlag. Vermutlich sind die Haiarten vor Irland nicht so groß wie die vor Namibia (war das dort?), dass man mit Netzen, Harpunen etc. ran muss. Andererseits denke ich bei "Angel" oder "angeln" auch eher an kleine Fische und ruhiges Wasser, "Rute" hingegen ist für meine Begriffe "hochseetauglich".

neutral  Cetacea: Wenn Du die Rute (r)auswirfst, womit willst Du den Hai dann fangen...? Wenn schon wird der Haken ausgeworfen.

  -> Danke. Ich denke ich bleibe bei der Rute - bei aller "Logik". "Schnur auswerfen" geht übrigens auch, find ich hier aber auch unpassend. Rute und Hai - ich bleib dabei ;)
