The stock will be handed over at the maintenance depot and shall be delivered to the same place on completion, fully commissioned and ready for service.

Nach meinem Verständnis habe ich mit "fully commissioned" (betriebsbereit) und ready for service (einsatzbereit) ein "weißes Ross". Oder verstehe ich da etwas falsch? Wie versteht ihr diesen Teil ?

Ich sehe da auch keinen allzu großen Unterschied zwischen den beiden Begriffen. Vielleicht wäre das eine Lösung? Wörtlich heißt commissioned ja auch "in Betrieb genommen".

Ich sehe da auch keinen allzu großen Unterschied zwischen den beiden Begriffen. Vielleicht wäre das eine Lösung? Wörtlich heißt commissioned ja auch "in Betrieb genommen".

agree  Carla Schaudt: oder betriebsfähig und einsatzbereit. Ersteres bezieht sich wohl eher auf die "technische Einsatzfähigkeit", zweiteres darauf, dass die Dinger auch ordnunggemäß zur Verfügung stehen.

komplett ausgestattet


Explanation:
nach den bisherigen Kommentaren gehe ich davon aus, daß es sich um Waggons handelt, die im Rohbau einem Ausstatter zur Komplettierung / Einrichtung nach Wunsch des Kunden übergeben werden.
