Der Begriff kommt vor in dem Film: "Ruth Rendell Mysteries: A Dark Blue Perfume". Die Szene ist folgendermaßen:

Mark Roberts walks up the path from the house. A removal man walks down the ramp with a deposit box and clipboard. Removal man: "Deposit box to sign for Mr. Roberts". Mark Roberts signs for the box and says: "1963". (Meaning that he had given the box for deposit in 1963, before he went abroad, I think. The setting is sometime in the 1980s.)

Zu sehen ist eine etwas ausgebeulte Metallkiste, in der Roberts alten Kram aus der Zeit vor seinem Auslandsaufenthalt gelagert hat. Kommt das jemandem bekannt vor? Gibt es das im deutschen Sprachraum überhaupt, dass man seinen Kram über Jahre hinweg in Metallkisten bei einem Unternehmen lagert? Wenn ja, wie nennt sich so eine Kiste?

Im Internet finde ich auf der Suche nach dem Begriff "deposit box" nur Hinweise auf Sicherheitstresore in Hotels etc.
