Explanation:
If you type the words courier and bond into your search engine, you will find plenty of references to "bonds, commercial bonds, for couriers". This is to cover any losses that may occur in connection with their transport of documents. I recall one instance where a courier the bank was using to transport checks to the regional Federal Reserve was involved in an accident and the vehicle burst into flames and all checks burned - the cost of researching and attempts at recovery were borne by the insurance company providing the commercial bond.
