Νομίζω ότι η θητεία είναι απλώς θητεία στα Ελληνικά. Δηλαδή δεν είναι προσωρινή αλλά διετής, τριετής κλπ. όταν είναι πεπερασμένος ο χρόνος παραμονής κάποιου στο ΣΤΡΑΤΟ, και όχι σε ΑΠΟΣΤΟΛΗ ή σε ΧΩΡΑ.

Εγώ θα έλεγα ότι ο στρατιώτης βρίσκεται σε προσωρινή αποστολή...
