The key skills module: basics of computer use
The training sessions responded closely to the needs of the public and the planners. The beginning of the courses covered the basic concepts of web browsing. Navigation tools were demonstrated and issues such as web addresses, safety issues, and cookies were briefly discussed. Participants of the course created free email accounts, sent and received messages, learnt how to use web-based mailing applications, understood e-mail ethics, and learnt about sorting information received in e-mails or as attached files. Courses were held in the PC lab of the secondary school of Abony, with the help and cooperation of the IT teachers and system administrators |
