This is from a navigator program (GPS).

A facility here is more like a point of interest, e.g. a restaurant, theater, sightseeing site, etc. I do not like "εγκαταστάσεις" and I cannot use "σημείο ενδιαφέροντος" as I also have POI. Maybe a very plain "μέρος"?

Examples:

επιθυμητός χώρος
Explanation:
Η λέξη χώρος δεν υπονοεί απαραίτητα μέρος ή τοποθεσία (γεωγραφικά) αλλά περικλείει την έννοια των εγκαταστάσεων. Με τον επιθετικό προσδιορισμό επιθυμητός αποφεύγεις το "χώρος ενδιαφέροντος" (που μοιάζει με το POI) και την επανάληψη. Θεωρώ ότι σαν έκφραση είναι πιο οικονομική.
