"Boxing out" seems to be a rare term, and seems to be the same as "boxing in", and refers to any construction work designed to hide something (especially hiding cables and pipes, but also hiding unwanted windows and doorways, or creating false ceilings).
I think it must be "boxing OUT" because it involves building outwards from the existing walls etc. Or maybe it's to do with keeping things OUT of sight?
Anyway, the term includes false ceilings and false walls, so - unless they're already specified in the document - it might be wise to expand the translation to include ψευδοροφές and ψευτικούς τοίχους. |
