Greetings,

By this I mean maize in the form shown in the picture on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corn-on-the-cob.
Under the picture it says “husked sweetcorn”, but the usual English name for it is “corn-on-the-cob”.

Explanation:
Είναι το καλαμπόκι ολόκληρο, μαζί με το κοτσάνι, χωρίς δηλαδή να έχουμε βγάλει τους σπόρους από πάνω.

neutral  Maria Karra: Η έκφραση δε σημαίνει "(γλυκό) καλαμπόκι, βραστό ή ψημένο", σημαίνει ότι το τρώμε από το κοτσάνι, ότι δεν έχουμε ήδη βγάλει τους σπόρους (π.χ. σε κονσέρβα)/ Ναι όμως εδώ δεν ξέρουμε αν πρόκειται για πλανόδιο πωλητή ή π.χ. για συνταγή.

I saw the picture in the link.

κώνος αραβοσίτου/καλαμποκιού - according to: Ορθογραφικό Ερμηνευτικό Λεξικό Δ. Δημητράκου.

Also, 'βραστό/ψημένο καλαμπόκι', as has already been said. It depends on the language and the context.

Another name for it (perhaps used among farmers) is "κούκλα καλαμποκιού" (also according to Dimitrakos Dictionary).
