Slang for when someone tries to dress something up, but is still that something. usually used on ugly broads, when they put on a skirt and some lipstick and well, they still look like the same digusting pig.
"You put lipstick on a pig, it's still a pig"


Το εν λόγω «lipstick» είναι το «σαπούνι» στο («τον αράπη κι αν τον πλένεις το σαπούνι σου χαλάς»... :)

Αλλά επειδή πρόκειται για τη φράση που χρησιμοποιήθηκε εκτενώς στην κινητή τηλεφωνία (π.χ. http://gregverdino.typepad.com/greg_verdinos_blog/2008/08/so... είναι πιο κοντά στην πώληση τύπου... «φύκια για μεταξωτές κορδέλες» -μικρότερη γλωσσική αντιστοιχία, αλλά πλησιέστερο εννοιολογικά.

"Γάιδαρος με σέλ(λ)α". Υπάρχουν "παιδαγωγικότατα" παιδικά τραγουδάκια, και παροιμίες. Ψάξε το Γουγλ, θα βρεις αρκετά.
