Είναι πολύ σύνηθες στις μέρες μας να βρίσκεις αναλύσεις για τις τάσεις ανάμεσα στον πολιτισμό και την οικονομία, οι οποίες να μην κατακρίνουν (να είναι μη κριτικές) την οικονομική δύναμη στην παραγωγή και τη διάδοση (κυκλοφορία) του πολιτισμού και μάλιστα ο ισχυρισμός να είναι ότι πλέον ο πολιτισμός είναι που υπαγορεύει την οικονομία.
