English term or phrase: She is a regular Xanthippe
Hello. I was wondering if Modern Greek has an equivalent for this idiom referring to Socrates' wife who was supposedly shrewish and scolding. The Idiom is also found in French C'est une vraie Xanthippe and Italian E'un'altra Santippe. Any help with a translation is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

είναι μέγαιρα/ είναι σωστή μέγαιρα/ είναι στρίγγλα
Explanation:
The expression you refer to means "an ill-tempered woman". The equivalent in Greek would be the above. Nothing to do with Xanthippe, though! No idiom with reference to Xanthippe exists.
