Με το σκεπτικό των αρνητικών συνεκδοχών, θα μπορούσα επίσης να προτείνω και «τεχνολογισμός», ή -πιο παρακινδυνευμένα- «τεχνολογίτιδα». Πιο συντηρητικά, θα μπορούσαμε να η «τάση για αβαντάρισμα/προώθηση της τεχνολογίας».
The term has, in general, a negative connotation.

Μου αρέσει το "αβαντάρισμα της τεχνολογίας" -αν και συντηρητικό. Επιπλέον, αν και δυσκολότερο στη χρήση, το "τεχνολογίτιδα" είναι πολύ ενδιαφέρον.

Θα μπορούσε να πει κανείς ότι μιλάμε για φαβοριτισμό, μεροληψία, υπέρ της τεχνολογίας. Αλλά αυτά είναι αδόκιμα. Και η τεχνολαγνεία είναι άλλο πράγμα.
Boosterism is the act of "boosting," or promoting, one's town, city, or organization, with the goal of improving public perception of it. Boosting can be as simple as "talking up" the entity at a party or as elaborate as establishing a visitors' bureau. It is somewhat associated with American small towns. Boosting is also done in political settings, especially in regard to disputed policies or controversial events. The term has, in general, a negative connotation.
