"The ΙΤ Crowd", όπως σωστά αναφέρει η Κατερίνα, είναι μια επιτυχημένη αγγλική sit comm με ήρωες τρεις υπαλλήλους του τμήματος πληροφορικής μιας εταιρίας, που δουλεύουν στο υπόγειο των γραφείων της, σ' ένα χώρο όπου κάθε άλλο βασιλεύει η τάξη, σε αντίθεση με τους συναδέλφους τους των άλλων τμημάτων που απολαμβάνουν, όλες τις ανέσεις του σύγχρονου εξοπλισμού στο κυρίως κτίριο.
Ίσως, μια και η σειρά είναι τόσο δημοφιλής στην Αγγλία και την Αμερική, να έχει χρησιμοποιηθεί η φράση σε σχέση με το λογοπαίγνιο από το οποίο βγήκε ο τίτλος της sitcom.
Το λογοπαίγνιο έχει ως εξής (ακόμη μια αναφορά παρόμοια με αυτή της Κατερίνας):

Τραβώντας όλο αυτό από τα μαλλιά και για να ταιριάξει και με το κείμενό σου, μπορούμε να πούμε "Για τους μοδάτους", "για τους πιστούς (ακόλουθους) της μόδας". Δεν μου αρέσει πολύ το "μοδάτοι", αλλά εμφανίζεται αρκετά συχνά, παραδόξως (βλέπε σύνδεσμό παρακάτω).
Ή, αν θέλουμε να εκφραστούμε πιο γενικά, για τους κουλ τύπους ή για την "ελίτ", όπως λέει η Κατερίνα, μια και φαντάζομαι ότι δεν μιλάμε ακριβώς για το "μαγαζάκι της γειτονιάς".
