Dear Colleagues,

We are helping a local charity to raise flood awareness within the community and need this sentence translated into several languages and dialects to create a poster.

Please help us with this action.

welcome! is you family safe during a flood?
Bhale padhaaro! shu tamaaro parivar poor darmiyan salamat chhe?

Explanation:
One can also express this as :
Bhale padharo! shu tamaru kutumb poor darmiyan surakshit chhe?

or

Bhale Padharo ! shu tamaru kutumb rel darmiyan salamat/surakshit chhe?

Flood = Rel / poor
Safe = surakshit/salamat
Family = parivar/kutumb

I agree with with Viveekt on his usage of the term swagat for welcome alternately.

agree  nke: Agree with most of it! Only, I think it should be Bhale Padheria but in this case I would use just "Padharo!" Which is a respectful way of saying do come in or welcome.

welcome! is you family safe during a flood?
Swagatam! Shu poor avey to tamaro parivar salamat che?

Explanation:
Swagatam: from Sanskrit is the standard welcome phrase that can be common in all / most Indian languages.

The rest is a more colloquial version as it is for a flood awareness poster for the community: would your family be safe if there is a flood?

I would like to amend my above suggestion.

Somehow I feel the Indan words for Welcome! that I have given Swagatam is too 'celebratory' for a disaster awareness poster. I would prefer to use Umang Dholakia's words in an amended form: My new suggestion is:

Padharo! Shu poor avey to tamaro parivar salamat che?

This is more like 'drawing people in' to make them think about their safety in case of a flood.
