English term or phrase: stalking
Stalking, as criminal behavior by a person. I'm looking for the term to use in court. Would also like to know the best French term.
affuller
Zigonnay; Pèsekisyon [seksyèl]
Explanation:
That's either one of the Creole terms I'd use in a court for "stalking" with a reinforcement of the adjective "seksyèl", sexual, to confirm the very connotation pertaining to sexual harassment.

The appropriate French equivalent in the same legal context is: "Traque"
The corresponding verb is "traquer"
with many synonyms, among others: harceler, forcer, poursuivre, importuner, chasser...

Traque:forme de harcèlement sexuel pathologique consistant à suivre partout sa victime (From: Grand Dictionnaire Le Robert et Collins)

Thanks very much. Another interpreter colleague who hadn't thought of that word, agreed that it was a very good definition.
