English to Hebrew translations [PRO]
Science - Agriculture / Agri-Biotech | | English term or phrase: stacked traits | several traits stacked into a single crop, sometimes originating from different trait developers.
I had translated "stacking traits" very literally as
"הערמה של תכונות"
However, now I encountered it in another context as a noun:
"stacked traits are an increasingly important feature of biotech crops. Ten countries planted approximately 27 million hectares of stacked traits in 2008 and at 23%
growth, they grew faster than single traits."
a translation for "single traits" will also be appreciated :o) |

I did a lot of reading into it last night and did not fine mention in Hebrew for this term. Maybe someone else will provide the correct or better translation.
In any case, it seems quite obvious that stacked is referring to genes and perhaps you should therefore amend your translation of הערמה של תכונות to reflect that, because as is, it doesn't seem accurate or explanatory enough.
