agree  John Kinory (X): hono(u)r = kavod, but a person of honour is Ish kavod or perhaps something else, not Ish shel kavod.

  -> Well I can understand where is it came from but yet in Hebrew people refer s to each others as ISH SHEL KAVOD even if the phrase is not entirly correct its common use.
