agree  Eynati: Improving a capital asset increases its financial value, incl. for tax purposes. That's called hashbakha in financial Hebrew. End of story.

neutral  Zuhair Nara: it's possible. Not very different for שיפור. I just feel that שיפור fits better, both linguisticly and in light of Lea's new note in which she explains that the company is planning to "improve" a certain asset. Anyway, I'm OK with השבחה but prefer שיפור.

שיפור מצב ההון

Explanation:
you c'ant always translate word by word . here, in my opinion, in this connection, it means to improve the situation of their capital.

disagree  Eynati: It's not improving the 'situation of the capital' but improving the capital asset position. www.tau.ac.il/law/courses/ refael/download/lesson5(14).doc. Mas shevakh mekarkain doesn't deal with animals or products either.

We are told by Lea that the company here is planning to "add several improvements" to a certain real property. The addition may be, for example, a new section to an existing plant, or new access roads, or conducting soil-leveling works, etc. These are all "improvements" to the land, made for the purpose of "improving" the asset's qualities and performance, as opposed to direct FINANCIAL ENHANCEMENT of its value - which, I feel - is implied when using השבחה.

The word "improve" may be translated into Hebrew using more than one term: שיפר, השביח, הטיב, העלה. But, given the oveall context and indeed the simplicity of the issue, I would personally go for the obvious: שיפור.

The whole sentence would therefore be: "אנו מתכוונים להשתמש בתזרים המזומנים של העסק בכדי לממן את התחזוקה המתמשכת ושיפור ההון"
