בהקשרים אקולוגיים ראיתי כמה אפשרויות של תרגום: "כושר התאוששות", "עמידות", "חוסן", "גמישות" ו"הדירות". מכל האפשרויות (ראי קישורים להלן) אני מעדיף את "הדירות", כי המושג הזה מציין בדיוק את מה שהמונח האנגלי אומר: את היכולת של המערכת "להדור" (כלומר, לחזור) אל מצבה הראשוני. אפשרות אחרת היא "כושר התאוששות" - גם מושג קרוב אל כוונתו של זה האנגלי.
