English term or phrase: to short (v)
I'm well aware of the many variations of translating the financial "short" into Hebrew - חסר, מכירה בחסר, מוכר בחסר etc.
But how would you translate the term "are short" in the following sentence?
"Short sellers, in agregate, are short 1 million shares of the company."
Thanks in advance!

יתרת החסר המצטברת של המוכרים בחסר היא XX מניות של החברה.

Explanation:
חסר הוא תרגום נכון. הענף משתמש גם בשורט. התרגום המוצע מתייחס לכל המרכיבים של המשפט הנתון.

זה שם תואר, לא פועל: הם בחסר

Explanation:
'are short' is not 'to short'.

בהצטבר (או הצטברות), המוכרים בחסר (או מוכרי החסר) נמצאים בחסר של מליון מניות של החברה

Explanation:
I dont understand much about stocks etc but the aggregate between the two commas is confusing. Are these "aggregate short sellers" or aggregate shares ?
The word aggregate has been translated here imo as mitzraf and mitzrafi. And so it appears on Ravmilim. Is there such a thing as Mitzraf Bexesser ? or Xesser Mitzraffi ?

disagree  Eynati: The aggregate is 'all the short sellers together'. The writer might have said: Short sellers, cumulatively (or: all together, or in toto), are xxxxx short'.

-> As I said, I am not sure I understand the sentence and where the aggregate belongs. If Bemitztaber is the correct word, fine. What does Mitzraf mean ?
