If a student is eligible for special education the authorities work with his parents to offer the student a solution tailored to his needs. The authorities have to work with the students parents and want to make sure that they understand what is needed from them. Hence they try not to enforce their view of the student upon his parents but rather make them part of the process. Thus they try to give the student parents all the required info and put safegaurds on the process to prevent hasty desicions based on parents ignorence. |
