Explanation:
My first thought was of band saw, but that is possible only if you made a spelling error. I realised, after posting the clarification request that although uncommon, you can write משור - but again, less common than מסור.
Search Google pictures and see if Sabre or band saws fit your context.

I think this is what it is -- although it should be spelled withe a Samekh rather than Sin.
