I would say it's more likely to mean:
1. A very high standard (the usual meaning)
2. More advanced
3. More destructive
...or a combination of any of the above.

Greek mythology tends to be more prevalent in people's consciousness, so you will often hear words such as "Titan, Olympic/Olympian" to describe high quality but Norse mythology can serve the same purpose and be evoked just as easily - especially given that this has a German angle (the ancient Germans - the Teutons - shared much of their mythology with the Norse) - therefore it probably has more cultural resonance to use Norse mythology, rather than Greek.

The highest "world" of the old Norse religion.....where all the gods (The Aesir pantheon) lived, ruled over by Odin. (the "Mount Olympus" of Viking religion).
