...ve gam ani omer lekha, ki ata Petrus ve-al hatzur haze evne et kehilati Explanation: This is Delich's version of the NT, in Matthew, 16:18. Jesus plays with the words Petrus and Petra = "tzur" or rock. And a second "pun" in the same sentence, with ekklessiam, which is the congregation, the assembly, and also the church. The Pope as an institution and the Catholic Church are based on this versicle. You can find it again in Mark, 8:27 and ff. |
