Explanation:
I think that in this case נציג is a better option than סוגן. The reason for it is that the above mentioned model deals with the relationships between the principle and the agent, but the meaning of the word agent in this context is representative, the agent acts on behalf of the principle and thus represent him/

disagree  Ron Armon: Sorry Shai - but as I see it that's exactly what סוכן means in Hebrew - representative (it has other conotations, but still...). The Theorem/Model is simply known as מנהל-סוכן and not מנהל-נציג. Finally - It's not principle, but principal (גורם, מנהל)

principal-agent is an agent that serve as principal(n) but here the combination is in smichut so the principal is an adj. and also the whole comb is adj to the model, tha is why i chose my trans to mean this model=degem of sochen rashi (principal).

disagree  Ron Armon: I believe your wrong (in this case) when you interpret "principal" as an adjective. Here it is a noun ("A principal").
